Michel Couvreur 90s’ Single Malt Whisky – 47% ABV | 700ml

A rare treasure from Michel Couvreur’s “The Rarities” line, 90s’ Single Malt Whisky is a deeply oxidative Oloroso-matured single cask whisky, distilled on 15 December 1990. Aged over 27 years in mellow, humid conditions in the Burgundy cellar, this whisky is bottled at 47% ABV, natural strength, and presented in a wooden box. Rich, complex, and refined — a dram for serious whisky lovers who appreciate depth, balance, and oxidative sherry character.

Tasting Notes

  • Colour (Robe): Deep amber

  • Nose: Fresh and subtle, with delicate hints of oxydative sherry, soft vanilla, honeyed tones, leather, and toasted wood

  • Palate: Tight and dry texture, elegant balance — tobacco and Woody flavours interwoven with mellow vanilla and honey notes; leather and subtle woody spice round it out

  • Finish: Smoky tobacco and coffee notes linger, with an amazing complex aftertaste, combining warmth, depth, and a satisfying dry fade
